چکیده

Complex systems are usually affected by various sources of uncertainty, and it is essential to account for mechanisms that ensure the proper management such disturbances. This paper introduces a novel approach solve symbolic regression problems, which combines potential Grammatical Evolution obtain solutions describing search space with context-free grammars, ability Modal Interval Analysis (MIA) handle quantified uncertainty. The presented methodology uses an MIA solver evaluate fitness function, represents method manage uncertainty means interval-based prediction models. first theory establishes basis proposed methodology, follows description system architecture implementation details. Then, we present illustrative application example consists determining outer inner approximations mean velocity water current river stretch. Finally, interpretation obtained results limitations discussed.

A Multi-Criteria Analysis Model under an Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Environment with an Application to Production Project Decision Problems

Using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) to solve complicated decisions often includes uncertainty, which could be tackled by utilizing the fuzzy sets theory. Type-2 fuzzy sets consider more uncertainty than type-1 fuzzy sets. These fuzzy sets provide more degrees of freedom to illustrate the uncertainty and fuzziness in real-world production projects. In this paper, a new multi-criteria ana...

Extending Grammatical Evolution with Attribute Grammars: An Application to Knapsack Problems

Research extending the capabilities of the well-known evolutionary-algorithm (EA) of Grammatical Evolution (GE) is presented. GE essentially describes a software component for (potentially) any search algorithm (more prominently an EA) whereby it serves to facilitate the generation of viable solutions to the problem at hand. In this way, GE can be thought of as a generallyapplicable, robust and...

Combining FMEA with DEMATEL models to solve production process problems

Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is an analysis tool for identifying and preventing flaws or defects in products during the design and process planning stage, preventing the repeated occurrence of problems, reducing the effects of these problems, enhancing product quality and reliability, saving costs, and improving competitiveness. However, FMEA can only analyze one influence factor ac...

An Effective Search Framework Combining Meta-Heuristics to Solve the Vehicle Routing Problems with Time Windows

Many delivery problems in real-world applications such as the newspaper delivery and courier services can be formulated as capacitated vehicle routing problems (VRPs) [10], which we want to route a number of vehicles with limited capacity in order to satisfy customer requests with the minimal operational cost. This is usually measured by the number of vehicles used multiplied by the total dista...

a new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...
